I've been thinking a lot lately, about the idea that the objects had to be stored in the vault because they could not be destroyed. But what if that wasn't necessarily the case?

It seems to me that each object was possessed by a demonic spirit. So couldn't Jack, being the one with the most knowledge about the spirit world as far as the trio was concerned, bring someone in to perform an exorcism of some kind, rendering the objects harmless?

Thoughts?

I thought about this once, too. And my only guess is that since Lewis ended up paying for the curse with his life in the end, then the seal or pact with Satan was unbreakable.

I wonder if once they had ALL they antiques back and locked up in the vault, would the curse just cease to be? Since part of the deal was to have the items in circulation?

I really like the concept of the items being eternally cursed.  It really ups the ante.  Sometimes the spell can't be broken.
